Just put a stock '99 DynaGlide muffler on The Piglet (my Savage; baby hog, get it.... heh, heh, heh)! Sounds AWESOME. Actually louder/throatier than the Dyna was with the stock muffler! Very minor modification (removal of heatshield, etc...) involved.
I also got saddle bags for my B-day last weekend. Ended up with "All American Rider" bags from their "Ameritex" line. They are the small box bags, and they fit the Savage like a champ. I dressed mine up with some conchos to match my home-made sissy bar bag and tool bag. I ran them under the passenger seat (careful with those wires!!!!), and by folding the leather a bit, was able to remove the rubber pads from the bottom of the seat (the folded leather is in exact same place and does the same job) and reinstall it with no difficulty.
I also installed bungee nuts in place of the top acorn in the front of the fender rails, and some little chrome "skulls" in place of the bottom acorn.
It's warmin' up nicely in Oklahoma, The Piglet looks and talks good.... I AM LOVING LIFE!
